We support capacity development through agreements and partnerships with ministries and other public and private sector entities to provide targeted research and custom learning solutions that meet the needs of Qatar.
Small States Research Program
Through the investigation of the particular opportunities and challenges of security, diplomacy, and societal development in small states, this research program aims to build the capacity of Qatar to address its unique needs through activities and research which contribute to policy development, network building, and the formation of collaborations and partnerships between small state and international actors.

Georgetown Announces Registration for Public-Private Partnership Executive Education Course
Governments are increasingly integrating private sector innovations and investments through private-public partnerships (PPPs) to deliver large-scale public service works like roads, bridges, and hospitals on time and on budget. To provide government officials and industry leaders the hands-on experience necessary for the implementation of successful PPPs, GU-Q has announced registration for their Certificate in Public-Private which will be held on March 29-31 on the Education City campus.
SFS Announces New Executive Master’s in Diplomacy and International Affairs for Qatari and Middle East Region Diplomats
Dr. Joel Hellman, Dean of the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, and Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Mohammed Al-Horr, the Director of the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomatic Institute, met in Washington, DC on October 22 to inaugurate a new one-year Executive Master’s in Diplomacy and International Affairs degree program (EMDIA).
